Icon Painting School

Starting September 2024, with the blessings of His Eminence, Archbishop of New Gračanica and Chicago, and Metropolitan of the Midwest, Mr. Longin, along with Protopresbyter Ljubinko Savić, the Church Board’s approval, and under the guidance of theologian and iconographer George Popovich, the Icon Painting School for Children and Adults was opened at the Church of the Holy Three Hierarchs in Dallas.

Starting February 3rd, 2025, the school is transitioning to an online format and relocating to Aliquippa, PA, following Fr. George’s ordination to the rank of priest. This move allows the school to reach a broader audience while maintaining its commitment to teaching the sacred art of iconography. The online format provides personalized, one-on-one classes for all skill levels, ensuring that the tradition of Orthodox iconography continues to inspire students across the country and beyond. Fr. George remains dedicated to fostering both artistic and spiritual growth in this new chapter of the school’s mission.
